Indigo Print Fabrics

There is an innate beauty in the complex dyeing process of Indigo. First, the leaves are harvested and placed in a fermentation vat. Thereafter, using an alkali, Indigo is made water-soluble, after which the fabric is dipped into this mix. Post dipping, when withdrawn, the fabric remains colorless. It is only after exposure to the air again that the fabric gradually reveals its gorgeous and striking blue hues. At Vishnu, we garnish this pretty tint with block prints in reds, whites, and other vivid shades thus ensuring our Indigos are one of its kind!
